Additive Catchments is a digital organisation providing innovative, market leading solutions for the continuous monitoring of river water health, in line with the Environment Agency’s Section 82 requirements.
Project scope:
They asked us to develop and run a procurement process to identify and secure Operations and Maintenance (O&M) sub-contractors. They were needed for the installation, maintenance and calibration of its RiverStationsTM water monitoring equipment across the UK, used to service all water supply and treatment utility companies.

Creation of procurement documentation, including:
Tender enquiry letter
Supplier briefing ITT presentation
Supplementary information documentation

Response to technical questions associated with opportunity
Analysed and produced report of all responses (10 received from 40 invitations)
Led interviews with top 3 respondents to further substantiate capability and costing methodologies
Provided recommendations and reasons in favour of appointment
Developed contract agreement for signature between our client and the successful sub-contractor

Background information
Additive Catchments is a start-up organisation whose expertise lies with the digital aspects of processing the data on their CMaaS platform, using the collected data from their RiverStations products. To date the RiverStations portfolio consists of 3 main products: Kiosk, BankMount and Stilling Tube wall mount, all of which have been installed at test site locations for verification of design, form and function.
To move Additive Catchments to the next phase of its development and to be able to tender for the supply of continuous water monitoring equipment to the water supply and treatment utility companies, it needed to establish sub-contract suppliers of installation, maintenance and calibration services for each of the distinct geographical utility company location (i.e. Yorkshire Water, Anglian Water, etc).
We were pleased to be able to support and collaborate with Additive Catchments, providing additional expertise to identify, procure and establish the services of appropriate O&M services.
